Connections

Every philosopher on worldthought, rendered as a constellation drawn from their own writings. Each node is a reading room; each edge is computed from the corpus embeddings in Pinecone, with thickness mapped to the cosine similarity between the two rooms' centroids, so the lines you see reflect what the philosophers actually wrote rather than what any editor declared related. Where corpora have not yet been ingested, the page falls back to the influence graph declared in pages.js.

Click a node to enter that room. Click an edge to ask the cross-room chat about the connection. Drag to rotate, scroll to zoom, right-click to pan. The "Reset view" button in the controls bar snaps the camera back to the default orbit.

Node colors encode era (red Ancient, orange Medieval, yellow Renaissance, green Early Modern, blue Modern). Shift-click a node to pin it; the neighborhood card surfaces the top five corpus neighbors with their cosine weights and links to each. Deep-link any room by appending#<slug> to the URL: /connections/#hegel pre-pins the Hegel node, for example.

The list below ranks the ten edges with the highest cosine similarity between their two rooms' centroid embeddings, the strongest connections in the corpus. Read as "which two rooms' texts are most thematically close." Click either philosopher to enter that room, or click the line between them on the graph above to ask a cross-room chat about the connection.
